About Our UK Planning Statistics Data
Our planning statistics are drawn from planning application records across hundreds of UK local planning authorities. Data covers the most recent 24-month window and is refreshed nightly as new applications are imported.
Councils are only included in rankings when they meet minimum data thresholds to ensure statistical significance. For approval rate and decision time rankings, a council must have at least 50 decided applications. For appeals, a minimum of 10 appeals is required. For housing hotspots, at least 5 large-scale applications must have been submitted.
