Is this only for parish councils with an elected council?
Planning Signal is available to all civil parishes — whether you have an elected parish council, a parish meeting, or a town council. Any community body with an interest in local planning is welcome to sign up at the community rate.
How do we pay — can we pay by invoice?
You can pay by card online. If your parish requires a VAT invoice for the accounts, one is generated automatically and available to download from your account settings. For bulk or multi-year arrangements, contact us and we can arrange an invoice directly.
What if our district council is not yet covered?
Planning Signal covers 380+ UK council planning portals and adds new councils regularly. Check your council is covered by searching your postcode on the homepage. If your council is missing, let us know and we will prioritise it.
Can multiple councillors access the same account?
Yes — the clerk typically manages the account and can forward the weekly email digest to all councillors. The subscription covers the whole parish council.
Do we qualify for the community rate?
The community rate is for parish councils, town councils, community councils (Wales), and community councils (Scotland). It is not available for district councils or commercial organisations.
