About Cambridge City Council Planning Authority

Cambridge City Council serves as the local authority for the city of Cambridge, a distinguished non-metropolitan district in Cambridgeshire, England. Since 2014, the council has maintained a Labour majority and convenes at the historic Cambridge Guildhall. Additionally, it is a member of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, playing a pivotal role in regional governance and planning initiatives. The council is currently led by Cameron Holloway (Labour), who has held the position since 22 May 2025. Robert Pollock serves as Chief Executive since April 2021.
