Key dates
Received, consultation, target date and decision, explained.
Dates tell you how much time is left to act. Not every council publishes every date. Some of the dates below only appear after you select Show all dates.
- Date received: when the council received the application. Some councils only publish the week, in which case we show the week.
- Date validated: when the council confirmed the application was complete and started the clock.
- Consultation: the period when neighbours and others can comment, ending on the Consultation Expiry date. Last date for comments is the one to watch.
- Target decision date: when the council aims to decide.
- Date decided: when the decision was made.
- Permission expires: shown when the council states it.
Dates that have changed since you last looked are flagged if you are tracking the application.
