Add your business

Our architects, contractors and consultants directories started from public registers, so some firms are missing. If yours is one of them, you can add it yourself. It is free and takes about a minute.

How to add your business

1. Go to the page for your kind of business: architects, builders and trades or consultants. If you are not signed in, create a free account first and confirm your email address.
2. Enter your business name and postcode, and your website if you have one. We check whether we already list you, in all three directories.
3. If one of the results is your business, select This is us, claim it. Claiming keeps the listing's planning history.
4. If none of them is yours, select None of these is my business and fill in the short form: your trades (contractors) or disciplines (consultants), postcode, website, phone, and optionally your Companies House number and a short description.
5. Select Add my business. Your listing is yours to edit straight away from your account.

When does it go live?

Straight away if we can confirm it is yours: your account's email address is at your website's domain (for example you@yourfirm.co.uk for yourfirm.co.uk), or your Companies House number belongs to an active company with the same name. Otherwise a person checks it first, and we email you when it is live.

Common questions

Can I add more than one business? Each account manages one listing, the same as claiming.

Why does my listing not show a trade-body badge? Badges such as TrustMark or FMB come from the schemes' own registers. We add them when your business appears on that register, not from what is entered on the form.

Someone else claimed or added my business. Email support@planningsignal.co.uk and we will look into it.
