Virgin Media O2 intends to install 1x CABINET
Large conifer (labelled tree) - Requires crown lifting to facilitate access to property and height reduction due to proximity to housing. There is a TPO on the site dating from approx 1981 but based on location we believe it must apply to a tree removed before we acquired the property, and not to this tree; please let us know if you disagree with this assessment. This work will be done at the same time as seasonal hedge trimming to the hedge adjacent. Please treat this as a section 211 notice and we will assume the work can continue if we have not heard from you in 6 weeks. HAR/CA26, TPO 132W.
This silverbirch sits at the left hand side of the front of the house between us and Mr and Mrs Ashman at 77. The branches grow and overhang the pavement as well as our drive. Over time they obstruct pedestians as well as making it dangerous for us to have a clearview when trying to leave the drive in our cars. Mr and Mrs Ashman and I share the cost of any work needed and our tree surgeon usually notifies you but he has now retired. Therefore we need permission to reduce the lower branches and the crown (pollarding i think it is called). We have already had a quote from a tree surgeon, but await your approval. HAR/CA26, TPO 45W.
T58 - Sycamore - Fell due to close proximity to the wall and has previously been topped. It is at risk of failure at regrowth points in a high pedestrian and vehicle traffic area. HAR/CA6
(T1) Alder- dead tree. Fell. (T2) Prunus (not identified fully)- dead tree. Fell. HAR/CA6 TPO 328W
T1 Copper beech - Reduce height by 2-3 metres and reduce sides by up to 1 metre to retain size of tree and to ensure it does not get too big for the area. HAR/CA26, TPO 69W.
Discharge of condition 3 of planning permission DC/099199.
Single storey rear and side extension. Part garage conversion. Loft conversion with flat roof dormer
T1 - Western red cedar - location closest to edge of driveway - remove and stump grind. TG2 - two conifers that have grown together to form one crown. Boundary trees between the client and their neighbour. They are in agreement over the scope of the works. Reduce by approximately 50%, bringing the trees just below the height of the gutter line. Hedge cut the sides to tighten the shape. HAR/CA26, TPO 69W.
See attached Report and Plan. TPO 4W.
Fell T1 Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) to near ground level and chemically treat stump to inhibit regrowth. To offset amenity loss under the TPO, plant one of the following lower water-use, small-stature species, = 6?8 m from structures and services. Amelanchier lamarckii, Crataegus monogyna, Malus (Rudolph/similar), or Sorbus aucuparia. Plant at 10?12 cm girth, with stakes, mulch and an aftercare plan (3 years). TPO 23W.
Rear ground floor extension and part garage conversion.
Application for the variation of condition 4 (Obscure Glazing - To add an additional fixed obscure glazed window to the first-floor level of the south-west elevation) of planning permission DC/086533 - Single storey rear extension, two storey side extensions, single side garage extension, gabled roof ,loft conversion and porch.
Erection of new car port
Proposed single-storey rear extension (i) The projection of the proposed extension beyond the rear wall of the original house is 3.93 (ii) The maximum height of the proposed extension is 3.53 (iii) The height of the eaves of the proposed extension is 2.25
There are two trees of concern. 1 A large magnolia in our front garden which requires pruning as the outer branches are growing into overhead wires 2 A very large Beech tree at the back of the garden which also needs pruning. My partner, who has lived here since the 1970?s remembers it last being pruned about 40 years ago. It is casting the back garden in permanent shade. The Beech tree shares the border of 3 properties (number 1, 7 and 9 Park Gates Drive, SK8 7DD). Matthew Thompson (Arborist) has visited the garden and advised that the trees should be pruned by 20 to 30 per cent. HAR/CA29.
We are requesting consent to remove the Lawson Cypress tree located approximately 1 metre from the front entrance of our property, which is in the Swann Lane/Hulme Hall Road/Hill Top Avenue Conservation Area. HAR/CA26. The tree is in an unsuitable location, being in close proximity to the water meter and foul water drain. We have already experienced drain blockages caused by root ingress, and United Utilities have recently attended to clear roots from the system (image attached). Lawson Cypress is a fast-growing species and if left to mature, we believe it would present an ongoing risk of damage to both our services and our (and our neighbour's) property.
Horse Chestnut at the front of the property. The tree died and a limb fell in the road. The tree was removed in May 2020 following a conversation between Ben Bostock and Mr McGarrie . This application is to formalise the consent and to remove the TPO. TPO 201W, TPO 401W.
Tree species: Common Oak (Quercus robur) Description of proposed works: Fell to ground level, in accordance with BS 3998:2010, and establish an exclusion zone for the duration of works. Reasons for the work: The tree is an over-mature Common Oak in advanced, irreversible decline, with approximately 50% of the crown dead or absent, major deadwood, apical dieback, and fungal decay at both the roots and stem with associated buttress-root damage. A QTRA V5.4 (GB) assessment returns a Risk of Harm of approximately 1/500 ? Unacceptable ? governed by a basal/whole-tree (uprooting) failure mode. The extent of root and butt decay, combined with a low residual safety factor, means crown reduction or other retention works are not arboriculturally viable; felling is the only proportionate option. Full justification is set out in the accompanying assessment. Replanting proposals: One replacement tree to be planted within the rear garden ? a semi-mature feathered Quercus robur (standard, 10?12 cm girth), positioned clear of structures and underground services, planted in the next available bare-root season (November?March) and maintained in accordance with BS 8545:2014. TPO 10W.
T1. Sycamore - Large tree growing in close proximity to property with significant deadwood in canopy. The tree poses a huge risk of falling branches and causing injury to children playing in the garden and / or damage to property. Fell to ground level and replant 2 native heavy standard trees on rear boundary of property in the next planting season. TPO 16W.
Cedar planted in 1981 has become a problem. The front of the house was extended 1995 and the roof receives a heavy fallout of pine needles resulting in a build up of moss and vegetation. The pine needles also block the drains. The edge of the driveway is lifting. A mature Larch tree fell on the the house 2002 and is also a concer. TPO 383W.
T2 (G4.J)- English Oak, dead tree with no live growth, located on highway verge- Tree to be removed subject to a 5-day notice (Town & Country Planning Regs 20212: Regulation 14(2) Notification), due to its dead, 'not acceptable' tree risk condition. T3 (G4.I) - Horse Chestnut, dead tree with no live growth, located on highway verge- Tree to be removed subject to a 5-day notice (Town & Country Planning Regs 20212: Regulation 14(2) Notification), due to its dead, 'not tolerable' tree risk condition. HAR/CA5, TPO 190W.
T1 Cherry of the submitted MWA Arboricultural Report Works: Remove (fell) to near ground level and treat stump to inhibit regrowth. Reason: Clay shrinkage subsidence damage at subject property. HAR CA26
