For completeness, we also note that the dwelling's ground floor construction has been revised from a suspended timber floor to an earthen (cob) floor laid on natural ground. This allows greater use of on-site subsoil, further reducing the dwelling's ecological footprint and improving thermal performance. As this change occurs entirely below internal floor level, it has no impact on the approved elevations, dimensions, or finished floor level relative to external ground level.
