Planning applications in W5

T1- Polar Tree - reduction on a large poplar located in the back garden of their property in a Westerly direction. This is part of the trees ongoing maintenance, to reduce weight and make it safe/ensure it does not outgrow its position and was last completed January 2021. The client proposes a reduction off the top of 7m and 3m off the sides. The tree is currently 28m high and 9m wide and will be 21m high and 6m wide following the proposed works.

T1 - Holm Oak (Quercus), crown reduce the neighbouring side at no.50, back to approx. 1.0m beyond the front garden fence line. Additionally, clear the house side at no.48, reducing the branches back to previous points of reduction, allowing the guttering approx 1.0m of clearance. **T2, T3 and T4 Are situated in the neighbouring property at no.46 - we have uploaded the written consent from our client at no.48 from her neighbour at no.46.** T2 - Sycamore (Acer), on the lowest limb, remove the branch overhanging the building, back into the first 'V'. T3 - Ash (Fraxinus) situated in the garden of no.46, crown reduce the lateral branches overhanging the garden at no.48 by approx. 3.0m. These works are recommended in order to reduce the weight and ultimate risk of limb failure. T4 - Lime (Tilia), crown lift the 3 lowest limbs to elevate the tree.

T1 - T2 Lawson Cypress x2 x2 Cypress trees growing close to the property. Concern that the trees have caused cracks in the house. Fell to ground level in sections and remove from site.

T1 Palm tree Fell to ground and grind stump to approx. 300mm below ground level. T2 Apple Fell to ground and grind stump to approx. 300mm below ground level.

TPO488 T1 - Ash tree (Fraxinus), crown reduce the tree by approx. 2.5-3.0m, back into the main structural shape. Additionally, ensure that the building has approx. 1.0-1.5m clearance to prevent future damage from occurring. T2 - Ash tree (Fraxinus), perform a weight reduction by reducing the lateral branches only by approx. 2.0-2.5m, using suitable regrowth points where possible. On the front section of the tree (overhanging the curved building), perform a harder reduction in order to clear the building of any overhanging branches.

Replacement of ball court (MUGA) to a football foundation play zone, installation of new fencing, lighting and surface joint (Out of Borough)

T1 Strawberry Tree - Fell to ground level in sections and poison stump to prevent regrowth.

Single storey (Max 6m deep and Max 3m high) rear extension (42 days Prior Notification Process)

T3 - Plum tree (Prunus ssp.) *heavily leaning*- fell to stump level. T5 - Apple (Malus ssp.) - crown reduce back to the most recent previous points of reduction, by approx. 3.0m.

TPO2068 T2 Turkey Oak (Quercus cerris) Reduce crown to the most recent previous reduction points, removing approx. m of new growth. Final height = 19-20m and final overall spread = 8m.

T1 & T2 -Lime - Reduce to previous points /Remove epicormie growth from trunks

TPO 004 T1 Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) Reduce crown to the most recent previous reduction points, removing approx. 3-4m of new growth. Final height 17m and final overall spread 8m

Single storey rear extension (max 8m high and max 3m high) (42 Days Prior Approval Notification Process)

T1 - Birch (dead tree) - fell to ground level. T2 - Magnolia (dead tree) - fell to ground level T3 Hawthorn (dead tree) - fell to ground level T4 - Cypress - prune branches encroaching on property back to the boundary line T5 - Bay - reduce in heigh by 2 metres and shape

Relocation of the main entrance door from side to front; replacement and raising of the existing flat roof and parapet; incorporating a flat rooflight; installation of one conservation-style rooflight to the pitched roof; and removal of existing chimney stacks

T1 Laurel Reduce all aspects of the crown by approx. 1.5-2m to create a tight and tidy shape. T2 Ash Ash tree in the front garden with large amounts of deadwood in the crown and x2-3 dead stems. Fell to ground level. S3 Ash Stump Grind stump to approx. 300mm below ground level.

T1 Plum - Reduce all aspects of the crown by approx. 1-2m to create a tidy shape and rebalance the tree. Sever Ivy.

T1 - Poplar (Populus), fell to a low stump level due to the major rot at the base of the tree - photographs attached. These works are a matter of emergency. T2 - Poplar (Populus), re-pollard by approx. 1.5m to continue the ongoing maintenance after the tree.

T1 Magnolia x 1 (Magnolia spp) This magnolia has outgrown its location and there is a slight concern it may be contributing to subsidence. Suggested work: Reduce by 1.5-2.5m below the previous reduction points and create a new shape.

Single storey rear extension (following the demolition of the existing extension) (max 4.4m deep and max 4m high) (42 Days Prior Approval Notification Process)

T1 - Laurel tree - Reduce all aspects of the crown by approx. 1.5-2m to create a tight and tidy shape. T2- Ash tree - Ash tree in the front garden with large amounts of deadwood in the crown and 2-3 dead stems. Fell to ground level and grind stump to approx. 300mm below ground level.

T1 American Sweet Gum - reduce the height 3.5m - reduce the lateral growth 2-2.5m to suitable growth points, ensuring the canopy is balanced and is cut back toward the boundary on the neighbours side T3 Evergreen Magnolia (Magnolia x 1 grandiflora) - fell to ground level

T1 -Ash - Crown reduce by 3-4 metres.

TPO 954 T1 -Horse chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum) Multiple stems from the base.Tree died due to pest damage from leaf-mining moth (Cameraria ohridella), subsequent disease (probably Bleeding Canker) and drought, such that its wood has become rotten and weak after infiltration by wood/bark beetles. This tree recently lost a large limb that fell onto the public highway without any warning. T2 -Box tree (Buxus sempervirens) Three main stems from the base, This precious specimen tree tragically died after repeated infestations with Box Tree Moth caterpillars (Cydalima perspectalis) over the past few seasons. Both trees now require very urgent removal because they have been dead/dying for at least a couple of years, and in the recent drought conditions have become likely to sudden limb drop, as was evidenced at 12:20pm on Wednesday 5th August 2026 when a large limb fell onto the public highway blocking the pavement and partially obstructing the road. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the need for urgent removal of both trees was recognized as they are highly likely to harm people or property if there is another limb drop. We are able to list the condition of the trees (above) with a good degree of confidence because I have a background as a biologist (with a degree from Aberdeen University) and having consulted with a tree surgeon (TJ TREE LTD) who knows the two trees in question from previous work in the area. Both trees ought to be completely felled.

TPO 1189 T4 -T5-T6 -Sycamore reduction of the side of the trees overhanging the development by 2m

Single storey detached outbuilding to be used as a home office and gym (following demolition of existing outbuilding); installation of window to side elevation of flat

Tree 1 - Ash: Lift canopy to approx 4-5m above ground level. Tree 2 - Plum: remove dead stem which forms part of a bigger tree, but has died. Trees 3 - Plum: Neighbour's plum tree overhang, cut back by 2m. Trees 4 and 5 - Plum: Cut back by approx. 2m.

T1 - Laurel (Laurus), fell to a low stump level. Grind the remaining stump to below ground level. These works are intended to facilitate for landscaping works.

T2 - Robinia (Pseudo acacia), dead wood and carry out a crown reduction at approx. 3.0m in height, and 1.5-2.0m in lateral spread, to continue the ongoing maintenance of the tree. T3 - Purple leaf plum (Prunus), remove deadwood, and perform a weight reduction on the lowest branch growing along the back wall of the garden, for the purpose of alleviating the amount of weight and reducing the risk of limb failure.

T1 Apple (Malus) - Reduce lateral spread on all sides by 1-1.5m to finished lateral spread of 3m. Crown raise by removing 0.5m T2 Apple (Malus) Reduce lateral spread over clients side by up to 1m

T1 - plum tree -Fell the tree to ground level. The tree is growing extremely close to the boundary wall, and cracking can be observed from the neighbouring property.

T1 - Weeping Willow(Salix x sepulchres) -as per PREVIOUS(2022)Ealing planning specification -reduce crown by 30% to suitable regrowth unions -crown lift up to 2.5m or 30% of tree height but the resulting pruning wounds will be no greater than 100mm -thin the tree canopy by no more than 15% -clean canopy by removing all deadwood & damaged branches

G1 - x2 self set cherry trees. Fell tree as close to ground level as practicable.

T1 - Laburnum tree. Fell to ground level and grind out the stump. T2 - Pear tree. Fell the tree to the height of wall. T3 - Bay tree. Fell two stems directly adjacent to the wall and treat stumps with herbicide.

Amendment sought to provide a part infill extension to remove the approved side facing window at second floor level, and the subsequent reconfiguration of the approved internal layout'. Variation seeks further variation to the drawings approved under 191796VAR, specifically to remove the step back shown on approved plans at third and fourth floor level

T3 Coniferous - Fell to stump level and grind the stump to below ground level. T4 Cherry tree (Prunus) - Fell to stump level, and grind the remaining stump to below ground level to prevent future regrowth. T5/6/7 - 3 x Plum trees (or similar species) - Fell and grind the remaining stumps to below ground level. T8 - Sycamore tree (Acer) - Reduce the branches that overhang the garden of no.31 only by removing the three lowest branches entirely, and then reducing the remaining overhanging canopy by approx. 2.0m to lessen the overhang.

Conversion of existing dwelling into two self-contained flats with provision of cycle storage and bike storage (part retrospective and modified)

T1 - Apple tree (Malus) - Crown reduce by approx. 3.5m in height and trim the remaining canopy as hard as possible without losing the greenery to neaten. Additionally, lift the lower section of the canopy, overhanging the lawn slightly.

T1 - Liquid Amber. Selectively prune branches encroaching on to the property back to the property boundary line, pruning the branches back to suitable growth points. Prune the largest, lowest limb back to the collar. Pruning only the north facing crown encroaching across the boundary line.

T1 Cherry - Reduce all aspects of the crown by approx. 1m to create a tight and tidy shape. Remove dead branches from canopy.

Non material amendment to allow the installation of an AC unit on the flat roof of the approved extension of planning permission P/2026/0815 approved 18/03/2026 for the erection of a single storey rear and side wrap around extension with the enlargement of a side and rear roof extension with one front roof window, and removal of side the front porch and chimney to the house..

T4 - Magnolia Tree-removal

T1- Horse chestnut - Crown reduction by up to 2-3 meters in height and 1.5-2 meters in lateral spread, and removal of epicormic growth on the stem. Reason: Tree is too large for the site and in close proximity to the building.
