T11, T12, & T13 (3no. London plane trees) - Per the details relating to the pruning of these trees in the Arboricultural Method Statement submitted under planning application 24/03810/ADFULL, the additional pruning in excess of the pruning approved under planning permission 23/08458/FULL is included within this S211 Notification.Specifically, the works in excess of that previously approved are as follows: Undertake a full crown reduction of these trees so that all regrowth is removed back to the established pruning points throughout their crowns (noting that additional pruning beyond these pruning points on site-facing crown aspects has been approved under 23/08458/FULL and will be implemented as part of the overall pruning strategy).Under a S278 Application with TfL (who own the trees), the relevant Arboricultural Officer (Paul Roberts) has stated as follows: "I raise no objection to the additional pruning works. We were planning to bring these trees into a different management regime (not cyclical pollarding) but this can be deferred. Once they are pollard we may receive a influx in enquires for other trees to be pollard/pruned, which we will have to manage." Evidence of this can be provided, upon request (if WCC do not wish to confirm this with Paul directly via their own communication channels).For clarity, these pruning works will only proceed in the context of implementing the planning permission (23/08458/FULL); if for any reason the development works do not proceed then these trees will not be pruned.
