This is being put forward on the basis of a 5 DAY NOTICE. Mature monterey cypress. 25% of the volume of the tree has recently failed as follows. The Northerly stem growing from 2m above ground level failed, landing on the roof of no. 16 % 18, Charlotte cl, causing serious damage to the roof and conservatories below. This has resulted in the entire north face of the tree now vulnerable to further tear outs. The tree is now in poor condition and at risk of further limbs failing if not the entire upper crown itself, as there is significant rot in the main stem approximately 4meters below the tip of the crown. Due to the above notes, and in consideration of the properties surrounding this mature monterey cypress, the proposed works are to fell to ground level at the earliest convenience.
