The tree owners are being asked to remove the risk of branch failure impacting the adjoining neighbour, the neighbour is very concerned about the tree. This 'edge' tree does have distorted branch architecture and the base of the tree has the swelling and ridges indicative of adaptive growth and hollowness, no remedial works were suggested in a recent survey though, this application is for works to assuage the neighbours considerable concern about this overhang.
