Why it was refused

  1. Having regard to the proposed materials and bulky appearance of the replacement windows, the proposal would be wholly detrimental to the special architectural and historic fabric of the listed building and would harm the existing dwelling, the adjoining semi-detached dwelling and wider group of buildings. The proposal is contrary to Policies ENV6 and ENV7 and of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035, the provisions of Chapter 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework and Sections 66 and 72 of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. Furthermore, it fails to comply with the Nuneham Courtenay Legal Agreement (1980). NB: Nuneham Courtenay is subject to a Legal Agreement, 80S06, with respect to its historic conservation.
