Planning Decision

Decision
Refused
Case Officer
Kate Cattermole

Why it was refused

  1. By reason of its design and excessive height, the proposed front boundary treatment would be contextually inappropriate and create a harsh boundary feature that would be an intrusive element with a harmful visual impact that would be out of keeping with the street scene and detract from the character of the area. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policy ENV3 of the Local Plan Part 1: Planning Strategy for the New Forest outside of the New Forest National Park, the New Milton Neighbourhood Plan and the New Milton Local Distinctiveness Supplementary Planning Document, and the NPPF2026.
