Planning Decision

Why it was refused

  1. 1. Failure to provide sufficient arboricultural evidence to justify the proposed repollarding On the information submitted, the application fails to demonstrate that the proposed repollarding works to the protected lime tree are necessary or proportionate. The application is not supported by an arboricultural report, dimensional survey, tree condition assessment, London planning@lambeth.gov.uk SW2 9QQ pruning schedule, pollard management history, or other technical evidence demonstrating the current form of the tree, the management need, or the arboricultural justification for the proposed works. The stated reason for the works is routine maintenance and control of height and spread. However, insufficient evidence has been provided to demonstrate a specific arboricultural defect, structural concern, safety issue, clearance requirement, site constraint, or other identified management need requiring the removal of approximately 5m from the height of the protected tree.

From the council's decision notice.
