Planning Decision

Why it was refused

  1. The proposed development, by reason of the inadequate and poorly usable kitchen/dining facilities, including its long and narrow layout, lack of light and outlook and the need to take bicycles through this space to access the rear garden cycle storage, would fail to provide a satisfactory standard of accommodation for future occupiers. The layout would not provide a practical, safe or convenient communal living space capable of meeting the reasonable needs of future occupiers. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy D6 of the London Plan (2021), Policy CP4 of the Enfield Plan Core Strategy (2010), Policies DMD5 and DMD8 of the Development Management Document (2014) and the National Planning Policy Framework (2026).

From the council's decision notice.
