Planning Decision
Why it was refused
- 1: Due to the increased massing of the side elevation created by the increase in ridge height, side gable and side elevation of the and proximity to the side boundary, the first floor extension would have an overbearing impact, which would be detrimental to the amenities of the occupiers of 238 Horninglow Road, in addition to this the extensions would have an adverse effect on the outlook of the occupiers of this dwelling and loss of natural daylight due to the siting of the extensions to the south and proximity to the side facing habitable window of No 238. The proposal would therefore have an adverse impact on the amenities of the occupiers of the adjacent dwelling to the North contrary to East Staffordshire Local Plan Policies SP1, DP1 and DP3, Separation Distances and Amenity Supplementary Planning Guidance including the 25 degree code, East Staffordshire Design Guide and the National Planning Policy Framework.
