Refer to Appendices A, B and C Tree 559 - Tibetan Cherry - Prune off basal shoots and low branches to 1.5 metres above ground level to improve access from gate Tree 581a - Tree Cotoneaster - Crown lift to 2 metres on the north side over the proposed access path into the site from Roman Road Tree 581b - Cotoneaster - Remove shrub to create access path into site. (Deemed to be exempt as not a tree) Trees 568, 579 & 581 (Scots Pines) - Remove of reduce dead branches only for safety (low priority) (exempt work) S1 - Boundary vegetation - Trim back lateral spread into the site by up to 1.5 metres every two years to reduce encroachment if desired. (Deemed to be exempt as not trees) Tree saplings - Transplant all desirable tree seedlings / saplings species growing within the proposed glades and paths (dashed red lines on plan) and immediately relocate to alternative areas within the site. (Scots Pine, Hawthorn, Holly, Silver Birch, Rowan, Pedunculate Oak, Beech, Hornbeam, Sweet Chestnut). Carefully pull and remove undesirable tree seedlings / saplings within the site and compost / dispose off-site. (Holm Oak, Strawberry Tree) Shrub Saplings - (exempt as not tree species) Remove all desirable shrub saplings within the proposed glades and paths only (dashed red lines on plan) and immediately relocate to alternative areas within the site. (Common Heather, Gorse, Broom) Carefully pull and remove undesirable shrub saplings within the site and compost / dispose off-site (but not from S1 boundary vegetation) (Rhododendron, Photinia, Cotoneaster, Cherry Laurel, Laurustinus, Azalea, Himalayan Honeysuckle
