About Worcester City Council Planning Authority

Worcester City Council serves as the local authority for Worcester in Worcestershire, England, and has roots dating back to medieval times. Since 1974, it has functioned as a non-metropolitan district council, currently comprising 35 councillors elected from 15 wards. The council, headquartered at Worcester Guildhall, has been under no overall control since 2022 and is now led by a Labour minority administration following the 2024 election, making it a key player in local planning applications and governance.
