Peterborough City Council serves as the local authority for Peterborough, a city in Cambridgeshire, England, with a history dating back to 1874. As a unitary authority since 1998, the council combines the roles of both district and county council, streamlining governance and services. Additionally, since 2017, it has been part of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, enhancing regional collaboration and planning initiatives. The council is currently led by Shabina Qayyum (| election2 = 12 September 2025), who has held the position since 12 September 2025. Matthew Gladstone serves as Chief Executive since January 2022.
