About North Lincolnshire Council Planning Authority

North Lincolnshire Council serves as the local authority for the North Lincolnshire district in the ceremonial county of Lincolnshire, England. As a unitary authority, it combines the responsibilities of both a district and a county council, operating independently from Lincolnshire County Council. This structure allows it to effectively manage local planning applications and community services within the area. The council was established in 1 April 1996. The council is currently led by Rob Waltham (Conservative), who has held the position since 16 January 2017. Alison Barker serves as Chief Executive since 1 November 2023. The council comprises 43 councillors, with the most recent election held on 4 May 2023.
