T1 Betula pendula (silver birch) - 30% crown reduction to maintain height T2 Ilex aquifolium (holly) - Reduce back down to hedge height to created uniform hedge T3 Robinia pseudoacacia (false acacia) - Pollard 50% reduction
T1 Ash tree to be felled to ground level. This is due to it causing structural damage to driveway, as shown in photograph. The tree also exhibits one sided canopy development resulting from past competition with a neighbouring tree that was removed. The heavy canopy causes excessive shading to the property as well as. neighbouring ones. It has also been damaged by larger vehicles (tractors, trailers and lorries) when driving past on the road.
Crab Apple (Malus sp.) ? T01 Fell the tree to near ground level, remove all arisings and grind the stump to below ground level where feasible. The tree exhibits extensive decay within the main stem, including a large open cavity and significant loss of structural material. Its structural integrity is substantially reduced, and the canopy shows reduced vitality consistent with advanced physiological decline. Based on a visual inspection from ground level, the tree is considered to present an increased risk of partial or whole failure. Removal is therefore proposed on safety grounds and in accordance with good arboricultural management. Replacement planting: One replacement Crab Apple tree (Malus sp.) will be planted within the curtilage, in the approximate position shown on drawing 2080/T001, during the first available planting season following removal.
Proposed work to three trees located in rear garden of the location address in the village conservation area. Trees identified on sketch plan included with application. 5 Day Notice - Dead and Dangerous Tree - Mature Cherry Blossom Tree.
T1 and T2 mature Scots pine trees growing in close proximity to one another and located close to the property. Both trees have a pronounced lean towards the property and are heavily weighted in the upper crown. The trees' proximity to each other, combined with their existing form and upper crown weight, means that crown reduction or selective pruning would significantly alter their natural appearance and is unlikely to provide a satisfactory long-term solution. Removal of both trees is therefore proposed to address their current position and form and to reduce the potential risk of branch or tree failure towards the property.

All pruning works shall be carried out in accordance with good arboriculture practice Ref on Plan T3 - Prunus (Cherry Tree) -Remove the tree due to its encroachment into both High Street and Lunn Lane.
