Ginkgo (T1) - fell. Reason: this is a female tree, that drops fruit all over the nursery playground. The children try to eat them, it gets into their clothes, shoes, hands, and all over the class room, creating an extremely unpleasant environment for the children and staff. Replant with another deciduous tree with similar potential size canopy (eg. Norway maple) Sycamore (T2) - Reduce the height of the tree by 4m. Reduce lateral branches in line with this (up to 2.5m). Reason: There is some decay at the base of the tree on the east side, spanning 40% of the circumference of the tree. The bark is flaking from ground level up to 1.5m, and use of the sounding mallet indicates the dysfunctional wood extends at least to the same height. The tree has a full crown, but has had selective branch length reductions in the past. The crown overhangs the nursery playground and neighbouring parking area. Lime x2 (T10 & T11) - Crown raise to 4m, removing epicormic growth. Reason: to remove the branches that touch the shelter to prevent damage.
The proposal comprises the installation of a 20m high monopole supporting 6no. antennas, 2no. transmission dishes, 2no. equipment cabinets and ancillary development thereto including Remote Radio Units (RRUs) and GPS module.
Estate trees with gated access. T1 - Large Goat Willow - remove dead stem and pollard by 4m to form a more compact crown.
G1 - Ash and Sycamore, fell cluster of sub-optimal trees, self-seed in awkward location, unwanted as part of new scheme, visible from side road.
