Copper Beech tree in rear garden - fell - heavy storm damage no other option
Full planning application for the demolition of three agricultural buildings (subject to Class Q ...
T1 - yew - Reduce height by 2metres and lateral growth by 1.5metres. Clean through and remove any deadwood. To form a new compact structure and to prevent future limb failure through excessive weight on extended limbs.
T1 - walnut - Reduce the crown by approximately 3 metres below previous reduction points, removing up to 6 metres from the overall height and up to 3 metres from the lateral spread, pruning back to suitable secondary growth to retain a natural crown form. This walnut has responded vigorously following previous reduction works and has regained a substantial proportion of its former size. The proposed reduction is intended to restore the tree to a more appropriate scale for its garden setting, reduce excessive shading to the lawn and surrounding garden, and maintain a balanced relationship with nearby structures and boundaries. Returning the tree to a size broadly consistent with its previous management cycle will help maintain its long-term amenity while retaining the tree as a prominent landscape feature. T2 - hawthorn - Fell to ground level. This hawthorn has limited individual amenity value within the wider landscape. Previous pruning has encouraged vigorous thorn growth and the tree is now an ongoing risk to my clients children. Its removal will improve light levels and allow better management of the garden without materially affecting the character or appearance of the area. The loss of this relatively small tree will be mitigated by the substantial retained tree cover on the site, including the adjacent mature walnut, ash and other surrounding trees and hedges.
T1 - Laburnum - Reduce Canopy by 25% T2 - Bay - Fell T3 and T4 - Ash - Fell
T1 - Willow - pollard to approximately 5-6 metres for it to establish healthy new growth.

- G1 apple x15 and plum x1 (highlighted on Tree Location Plan). Reduce overall height of x16 fruit trees by 1-2 metres back to suitable secondary growth and crown thin by 10%, to allow through more light and better airflow. Apple trees are numbered 105,106,107,108,109,110,111,112,113,114,115,116,117,118 and 120, plum is numbered 119

- T1 ash - Fell. Growing in close proximity of fence and to avoid future damage to the drain its growing on - T2 yew - Remove the smaller stem of a twin stemmed yew to allow more light and to create a better form with the remaining stem and tree. Smaller stem is suppressed and growing under the canopy offering very little to the form and aesthetics of the tree - T3 yew - Remove northeastern stem growing at approximately 60 degrees. Stem is out of shape and removing it will open up the corner of the garden and allow more light in - T4 yew - Remove deadwood and fractured branches within the canopy - T5 Leylandii - Fell. Tree is becoming very big for its location and will only continue to increase in size. It is overshadowing a smaller yew and beginning to encroach in to the growing space of a specimen cork oak - T6 yew - Repollard back to previous pollard points to bring the crown below the utility wires - T7 weeping willow - Repollard back to previous pollard points
