Tree Surgeon advises that these trees are going to be a threat to the integrity of this old wall. 2. Reduce tree on our river Yeo bank. Reducing to ground level those branches on the back (north) side currently falling into the river. Reduce the branches on the front (South) side to 7ft where it was previously cut back.

Notification of intent to carry out tree surgery works to No.03 trees within a Conservation Area Group of 3 Willow trees arising from same root located in rear garden near to riverbank. This group of 3 trees grow from same root base but have developed into 3 distinct trunks. Each tree is approx 25m high approx 10m wide, all require reduction in height and width, request crown reduction by up to 30% to previous pollarded/last cut levels to approx 10m above ground, this is similar to previously LPA approved crown reduction at this property within last 7 years. Professional tree surgeon advised householder that planning application is required as this is a conservation area, and agrees that he will carry out the work once planning approval has been gained and is in place.

Application to carry out Tree Surgery works to no. 1 Lime Tree (T1) as shown within the Yeovil District Council (SPAR 1) 1976 Tree Preservation Order. Description of required remedial work: An overall reduction by lessening height by 6 metres and trimming width by 2.5 meters was carried out in 2017. Since the tree has now re-instated the historical crown size prior 2017 reduction. Since the reaching distance of the tree to the dwelling, it is proposed to reduce the overall radial spread back to (2017) historical pruning point with the view of reduce sail factor and deliver a remedial action in respect of proactive tree risk management. This can be achieved by removing 9 years of incremental growth therefore approx. reducing the radial and apical outline by3.5- 4 metres from the outer branch tips

These need to taken out completely. They have gone "wild" since the previous owner died in 2022 and when we moved in in late 2025. Also they are entwined with bramble and ivy from next door, Strangway Cottage. Maybe Red Robin and Hazel. I would like to re-plant the Hazel as there are a couple of Squirels in the garden. T13 & 14 - Leylandii. I'm not sure if these will stay or go! I need to see how the garden looks with the removal of other trees before a final decision is made. If we can say they are to be felled and I can cover one job with one application. Again, potentially replaced with Red Robins. T15 to 22 - Leylandii. These currently cover my "composting" area and these need to be just trimmed back. T 23 I think needs to be removed as this has again gone wild and towered to almost 40 feet tail! T 24 - Red Robin. This has again exploded in size of the past few years. I just need this bringing back under controll where I don't need the services of a tree surgeon to look after it. I already have a Conference Pear tree ready to be planted in the garden and would like further fruit trees and bushes too.
