I would l like to request that my oak tree at 5 mtr away from property is overhanging roof and against bedroom windows and side of house. As we are situated in a high wind area as exposed it has recently began to scrape against roof tiles and windows and I am anxious that it will cause damage this winter, so hence looking for the approval to trim branches where they are affecting property , likely 1/ 2mtr Back to make safe please .

Erection of two storey side and single storey front extension
Both trees are oak trees and are the only trees on the front drive of property number 28. Both trees were last cut in September 2022 4 years ago so this is good neighbourly tree maintenance because as you can see from my plan Tree A is blocking light from number 30. Both trees would need the whole crown cutting by at least 30% as they are getting way out of control.

The property is being re developed, it currently has no roof. The new roof approved by planning last year Is an attic truss roof. This will require a crane to lift them into place. 2 branches overhanging the front of the property will prevent the crane from lifting them into position. Approx 8 to 10 ft of the 2 branches would need to be removed to allow this. The neighbouring property has a low horizontal branch which prevents the crane from getting the trusses through the existing gap between the 2 trees. Removal of the 2 branches on the tree in front of 116, would seem the best option. We are looking to install the roof in the next 2 weeks, so hopefully a decision can be reached, so that the build can continue.

The oak is a large, mature specimen approximately 20 metres in height, with an overall crown spread of approximately 8 metres on the southern aspect. Proposed Works: Reduce the overall height of the tree by approximately 3 metres. Reduce the southern crown spread by approximately 2.5 metres. Reasons for Proposed Works: The existing canopy significantly shades the southern elevation of the house and adjoining garden for much of the day. A moderate and carefully balanced crown reduction will improve natural light levels to the property and garden area, while retaining the tree???s overall form, character, and amenity value.

T1 - Oak The oak tree is a large, mature specimen approximately 22 m in height, with an overall crown spread of around 8 m on the southern aspect. The tree previously lost its main central stem, and a substantial amount of subsequent regrowth has developed over the property. This regrowth now forms the dominant crown structure on the southern side. I am applying to reduce the overall height of the tree by approximately 4 m (from 22 m to around 18 m) and to reduce the southern crown spread by approximately 4 m ( from 8 m to 4 m). This will retain an even, balanced crown with an approximate 4 m overhang onto my garden. Reasons for the proposed works: Management of historic structural defects: The historic loss of the central stem has resulted in asymmetric regrowth now extending over the property. Reduction will help manage loading on these secondary limbs, reducing the risk of structural failure and improving long-term crown stability. Improvement of light levels to the property and garden: The current canopy significantly shades the southern side of the house and garden throughout the day. A modest reduction will allow more natural light into the living areas and garden without harming the character or amenity value of the tree.
The application seeks confirmation that the proposed siting of a mobile home (garden annexe) for ancillary residential use within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse is lawful. The structure will be installed on removable ground screws and will not constitute operational development or a material change of use.
Oak tree on west boundary, it is proposed to reduce the overall crown by 40%, to achieve a reduction of approx 3m to the height and 2.5m to the spread each side after pruning. The partial reduction will prevent branches contacting the brickwork, roof and guttering. Additionally it will allow more light onto the site, reducing shade, the tree is leaning into the site from the boundary.

T1 Oak tree fell The works are proposed to stop the influence of the tree(s) on the soil below building foundation level and provide long term stability to 9 Burford Road Hollywood Birmingham B47 5EH. Estimated costs of repair to the building are a minimum of ??75,000.00 if the influence of the tree(s) remain and ??5,000.00 if the proposed tree works are allowed to proceed. Granting permission will limit these costs. In the event of a refusal we, or our clients, will seek to secure compensation for the additional costs incurred through Section 202(e). Should the tree/s remain the total cost of repairs will be the Superstructural repairs + Alternative method of repairs (Minimum) = ??80,000.00 It is the expert opinion of both the case engineer and arboriculturalist that on the balance of probabilities the supporting information demonstrates the influence of the tree(s). Note: Further monitoring results may be submitted if these become available during the course of this application.

Considerably sized Oak tree (T1). The tree is located on the grounds of 23 Hawthorne Drive. The tree has been poorly maintained and is dropping lots of little branches, overshadowing properties and very overgrown for its location and becoming close to other properties of the land it overshadows (a neighbours land) and is a growing concern both for us and neighbours as it continues to grow towards the property. Following advise of a tree surgeon a whole crown reduction is recommended to a more manageable and healthy state in order to allow for easier maintenance and to protect the future condition of the tree which is close to drains and footings of properties close by, allow more natural light in to the neighbours property and reduce the risk of damage to neighbouring property. There is scope to reduce the size of the crown by a considerable degree and clean out the interior to leave a lighter more natural, healthy and manageable crown. The work will allow the tree to flourish and be maintained in a better condition as it has not been maintained for the last 35 or so years and requires a maintenance plan. The tree is much greater in size than any surrounding Oak trees due to historic poor maintenance. The tree regularly drops small branches and is a grave concern for neighbours whose garden the tree overhangs as young children play in the garden. It is believed a cut back of the crown will help support healthier growth and maintenance.

We have a maple tree in our back garden which I believe has a TPO on which we were advise when purchasing the house. We would like to remove tree as birds leave large amounts of droppings on the grass in the summer months and having 5 grand children running around the garden things get a little mess and is a health risk to the grandchildren thanks for your consideration Rob Kenny
