Planning Decision
Why it was refused
- The proposed vehicular crossover would erode soft landscaping to the significant detriment of the character of the area and would fail to respect and make a positive contribution to the street scene contrary to policies CS17, CS18, CS21 and CS24 of the Woking Core Strategy (2012), policy DM17 of the Development Management Policies Development Plan Document (2016) and the National Planning Policy Framework (2026).
- It has not been demonstrated that the proposed crossover would have an acceptable impact on highway safety and the proposal would reduce the availability of publicly available parking in an area of parking stress contrary to Policy CS18 of the Woking Core Strategy (2012) and the National Planning Policy Framework (2026).
