- The retrospective proposal to retain the storage building, by reason of its scale, form and siting, being highly prominent and thereby detracting from the character of the property and streetscene which results with visual harm to the locality. The structure is not in accordance with saved policies GD1, EN27 and HG10 of the Wealden Local Plan 1998, Spatial Objective SPO13 and Policy WCS14 of the Core Strategy Local Plan 2013, Chapter 10, Part 2, paragraph 2.7 and part 6, paragraph 6.1 of the Wealden Design Guide 2008; together with the requirements of the NPPF 2026.
