A selected number of single-glazed sash windows (highlighted on the elevations) were recently replaced with heritage style, timber sash standard double-glazed units with 24mm glazing; this proposal is for the replacement of those window units (sashes only) with slim-line vacuum glazed units (to the front elevation) and with heritage slim-line double-glazed units (12mm) to the rear elevation. The aim of the proposal is to reinstate a more historically accurate and sensitive window profile whilst also benefitting from improved thermal efficiency of modern window glazing technology, reducing heating and energy bills for current and future occupants. All remaining, historic single-glazed sash windows still present in the property are to remain unaffected and unchanged.
