Non-material change application to permission 17/01946/FUL Following the demolition of the existing garage and commencement of building works a cellar and unstable ground were discovered adjacent to the neighbouring garage. On the advice of the engineer, who was concerned the neighbouring garage was at risk of collapse given the unstable ground, the design was altered to relocate the external stairs to the north elevation and the footprint amended to follow the alignment of the neighbouring garage with a retaining wall to hold it in place and mitigate the risk of collapse.
