Proposal (installation of 10 all-black low profile solar panels) aligns with Permitted Development A1: maximum protrusion of less than 200mm (a); array mounted below the ridge line (b); mounted on roof slope not visible from from principle street - south facing roof partially visible from Tram Lane, not main historic thoroughfare; and building is not listed or schedules monument (d + e); Also Permitted Development A2: (a) panels are finished in black, anti-reflective and low profile to reduce visual prominence, roof slope chose for optimal solar orientation; (b) array located on rear roof slope, partially visible from Tram Lane, associated equipment will be sited internally (loft space) and not visible externally, no increase in noise, overshadowing, or glare affecting neighbouring properties is anticipated due to panels anti-reflection and orientation; AND A2; (c) confirm that solar PV equipment will be removed as soon as reasonable practicable once it is no longer required for micro generation purposes in accordance with A2 (c). No additional local controls apply to proposal address beyond usual restrictions and conditions relating to permitted development. For the reasons set out above, proposed installation of 10 solar PV panels satisfies all applicable limitations under A1 and conditions under A2 of class A, part 14, schedule 2 of the GPDO 2015. The works therefore constitute permitted development.
