Planning Decision

Decision
AGNOT - Prior Approval Refused
Case Officer
Lindsey Young

Why it was refused

  1. The proposed building, by virtue of its height, prominent full-height glazed gable features, extensive fenestration and overall architectural treatment, would exhibit an unduly domestic character which would be inappropriate to its intended forestry function and the predominantly rural and wooded character of its Green Belt setting. The proposed design represents a significant departure from the simpler and more utilitarian appearance of the previously approved building, and no supporting justification has been submitted to explain the relationship between the revised architectural features and the operational requirements of the forestry use. Consequently, the design and external appearance of the proposed building are considered unacceptable under Schedule 2, Part 6, Class E, paragraph E.2(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) Case Officer: Lindsey Young Reference No. 26/02429/FORNOT AUTHORISED OFFICER OF THE COUNCIL..................................................................... This development may generate a CIL Liability, if this is the case, you will be notified under a CIL Liability Notice.
