Oak (T1) - Crown reduce- Reduce height by 3m from 14m to 11m. Reduce lateral spread by 3m from 12m to 9m. Reduction to shape canopy, pruning to suitable points and maintaining natural aesthetic. Work undertaken to bring back to form and improve light conditions for owner & neighbouring properties. Reduce lateral spread by 6m from 14m to 8m. The tree is in poor physiological condition and the canopy shows extensive die back with a large volume of dead wood present. There appears to be chronic oak decline and a heavy reduction to live growth is proposed. Reduction undertaken to remove likelihood of failure and allow the tree to remain as it provides valuable habitat and visual amenity. The tree should tolerate the pruning as specified above.
