Damage to hard landscaping and ground movement, The tree has caused lifting and displacement of the patio, indicating root-related impact on surrounding hard surfaces and potential future issues with adjacent structures. The bifurcated form of the tree, combined with its proximity to the house, raises concerns regarding stability during high winds. Despite regular pruning and installation of cable bracing, and upgraded drainage infrastructure, the negative impacts persist. These mitigation measures have not resolved the underlying issues and continue to require ongoing expenditure. My customer feels the risk of failure, constant maintenance and proximity to the house is disproportionate compared to amenity value of this rear garden tree. We would like to replant with another specimen species in a more suitable position. G1 Poplar saplings - fell - small group of 5 self seeded Poplar saplings. Theses trees have sprung up in recent years and are over crowded in a front bed. They bring no amenity value.
