Why it was refused

  1. Refusal Reason - Impact on the Grade II Listed Building The proposed works would result in harm to a designated heritage asset and Grade II LIsted Building. There are no public benefits resulting from the development that would outweigh the identified harm. The proposed renovations would result in irreversible harm to the house and subsequently fails to accord with the advice in the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended. The proposals would therefore be contrary to Policies ENV 1 and ENV 7 of the Northumberland Local Plan and would be contrary to the policies HE5 and HE6 of the NPPF.
