The tree is a Scots pine marked S1 on the plan. I believe it needs to be felled. It is very close to the house and in the last two years three branches have fallen from it. The first landed on the roof and damaged tiles and the underfelt. The second was small and was not a problem. The third came down about two weeks ago for no apparent reason. It was a large branch but fortunately missed the house (photos can be provided) although it did bring down the telephone wire. There was evidence of rot where the branch met the main trunk and I am concerned that this may have spread further into the tree and that this might result in further pieces falling. There is already one other branch hanging low and a dead piece higher up. I am concerned that any future falls will cause damage to the house.
