REFUSE

Why it was refused

  1. Insufficient justification has been provided to satisfactorily demonstrate that the reasons provided for the removal of this tree are valid. Technical advice from a consulting engineer has been submitted that demonstrates minor surface damage to hard surfacing is present and that the nearby surface drainage system is not functioning properly in periods of rainfall, but does not provide sufficient evidence that the trees are the cause or even a contributing factor. The removal of these trees is considered an excessive course of action and their loss will have a negative impact on local amenity.

From the council's decision notice.
