Planning Decision
Why it was refused
- The proposed development, by virtue of proposing the installation of a vehicular crossover and installation of one parking spot to the front garden is not supported due to the failure to demonstrate that the applicant is a blue badge holder, the loss of kerbside parking, and failing to demonstrate a sufficient pedestrian footway, in conjunction to the proposed development not being a supported characteristic of the immediate locality. The proposed development is thus not compliant with Policy Q5 and Q14 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021).
- The proposal has failed to provide sufficient evidence on the visibility splays, as required under Q15 of the London planning@lambeth.gov.uk SW2 9QQ Lambeth Local Plan (2021). The proposal therefore fails to reduce road danger, contary to Policy T1 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021).
From the council's decision notice.
