Proposal
Tree works in a Conservation Area (CA37) Works: T1- Lombardy Poplar* - Crown reduce height 33%. Crown reduce any spread to balance. *Tree was last crown reduced approximately 10-12 years ago and requires management due to its location in the communal garden and the species of the tree. T2 - Maple - Crown lift to 5m. Deadwood. T3 - Maple - Crown lift to 5m. Deadwood. T4 - Maple - Crown lift to 5m. Deadwood. T5 - False Acacia* - Fell to ground level and grind out stump where possible. T6 - False Acacia* - Fell to ground level and grind out stump where possible. T7 - False Acacia* - Fell to ground level and grind out stump where possible. *Trees T5, T6 and T7 are structurally unsound. The trees have all outgrown their tree planting pits. The tree pit grates have not been removed and as a result the trees have grown around them to such an extent that the structural integrity of the base of the trees has been compromised. The trees are proposed for removal with the grinding of the stumps where possible due to the nature of the trees having grown around the steel grates. In order to restore amenity value for the long term replacement planting of a more suitable species such as Amelanchier arborea 'Robin Hill' is recommended. If the area is to be re-landscaped all remaining tree roots should be grubbed ot in order to avoid suckering and further disturbances. T8 - Sycamore - Crown lift to 5m. Remove branches interfering with street light to give 2m clearance. Deadwood. T9 - Ash - Crown lift to 6m removing the six lowest branches. T10 - Maple* - Crown reduce 25%. Deadwood. T11 - London Plane* - Crown reduce 25%. Deadwood. * Trees T10 and T11 are both decayed at base; however due to the amenity value the trees should be retained; this can be acheived by crown reduction.
