Why it was refused

  1. By virtue of the cumulative scale and bulk and the first floor flat roofed design the proposed rear extension would result in a dominant, incongruous and visually obtrusive form of development which would cause significant harm to the character, appearance and visual amenities of the pair of semi-detached dwellings and the surrounding area, contrary to Policy BE1 of the Hillingdon Local Plan: Part One- Strategic Policies (2012), Policies DMHB 11 and DMHB 12 of the Hillingdon Local Plan: Part Two- Development Management Policies (2020), Policies D1, D3 and D4 of the London Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework (2026).
