Planning Decision
Why it was refused
- The proposed extensions by reason of the excessive height and bulk of the roof extensions and siting in this plot would result in a dominant, excessive, visually intrusive, overbearing and incongruous form of overdevelopment that would harm the architectural composition of the plot/site, character and appearance of the Brentford Close as well as Glencoe Road streetscene and visual amenities of the surrounding streetscence. The proposal would therefore be contrary to Policy BE1 of the Hillingdon Local Plan: Part One - Strategic Policies (2012), Policies DMHB 11, DMHB 12 and DMHD 1 of the Hillingdon Local Plan: Part Two- Development Management Policies (2020) Policies D3 and D4 of the London Plan (2021), and the National Planning Policy PDECHHODB (ODB) 51797/APP/2026/1988 Framework (2026).
