Isolated Hawthorn situated on a raised bed in the rear garden which is being cleared to provide a play area for young children.The tree is a health and safety hazard and is of extremely low amenity value. It provides excessive shading to an area that already suffers from poor drainage, resulting in a residual slip hazard due to leaf/berry debris from the tree when combined with surface water (e.g. rainfall).I am seeking to fell the tree and prevent further growth.If I am required to replace the unwanted hawthorn I will gladly plant an apple tree in its stead.
