Proposal
The tree is a previously pollarded (multi-stemmed) small oak growing next to an electricity pole in the front of our garden by the entrance gate. It is growing into the electricity pole (pushing it away from vertical) and up into the electricity wires that are supported by the pole. Previously Southern Electric has worked on the tree but have now informed us that as their line is low voltage the responsibility for necessary tree works rests with the landowner. We wish to remove most of the small trunks of the tree to prevent further interference with the electricity pole and the lines above it. One small trunk may be kept, in consultation with our neighbours, to cover their view of pole, provided that this can be done in such a way that it will not interfere with the pole or the electricity lines.
