I have an old hawthorn tree on the front boundary of my house at 17 Western Road. It has been in decline since before we bought the house in 2021 and I have tried to rejuvenate it but it has barely sprouted leaves this year and I would like to have it removed to make way for a new specimen. I am in the process of re-greening the whole front garden and intend to replace the dying tree with hazel/dog rose/ holly or some such native species. I will plant a new hawthorn in another part of the front garden as well.
