Why it was refused
- The proposed development, by reason of its siting, excessive height, scale, bulk, and design would appear as highly visible, unsympathetic, and incongruous additions within the wider area to the detriment of the character and appearance of the public realm. As such, the proposed development does not comply with the requirements of the NPPF (2024), Policies D3 and D8 of the London Plan (2021) and Policies DH1, DH(c) and DH(l) of the Royal Greenwich Local Plan: Core Strategy with Detailed Policies (2014) and therefore does not comply with Schedule 2, Part 16, Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended).
