Why it was refused

  1. It is considered that the evidence submitted with the application indicates that an alternative engineering solution, namely underpinning, remains available which would allow both the preservation of the protected Oak tree and the continued occupation of the dwelling. The proposed works to fell the Oak tree are therefore considered contrary to the aims and of Policies SP1 - Delivering the Strategy & Policy MD2 - Design of New Development as identified in the Vale of Glamorgan Adopted Local Development Plan, 2011-2026.
