Planning Decision

Why it was refused

  1. In the absence of a site-specific Flood Emergency and Evacuation Plan, insufficient information has been submitted to demonstrate that a safe evacuation route would be available, that suitable arrangements would be in place for residents and staff during a flood event, or that the development would be safe for its lifetime, having particular regard to the vulnerability of the proposed occupants. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies F4 and F7 of the National Planning Policy Framework 2026, Policy SI 12 of the London Plan 2021, Core Policy 28 of the Enfield Core Strategy 2010, and Policies DMD 59, DMD 60 and DMD 62 of the Enfield Development Management Document 2014.

From the council's decision notice.
