T3787 Horse Chestnut: Remove tree to ground level. Due to extensive dieback throughout crown with some limbs completely dead. Strip of dead bark running from 3.5m on North side to ground level. Major Trunk Decay: Dryad saddle on Northern side of trunk at 1m. x3 brackets and evidence of same fungal species 1m higher. Old brackets also present on the other side of main union on E side. Sounding with mallet suggests major decay from 1m up past the main union. On 20/07/2022 the tree dropped a main leader, leaving the remaining crown exposed (photos).
