Watling Heyes Chester Road Kelsall CW6 0RS
Proposal
Beech (tree no 3) on TP order X/07/10510/ORD This tree is infected with honey fungus all around the trunk. A tree surgeon has advised that this is likely to kill the tree roots within a year or two. Due to the height of the tree and its proximity to the house, we would like to follow his advice to take the tree down. Severe pollarding may allow the tree to recover, but that is not certain, and it would result in a very unsightly specimen - which defeats the purpose of having a TPO on this tree at all. We propose to cut down the tree and replant a suitable native broadleaf type further from the house.
