T3 - Horse Chestnut Tree pruning as per consultant recommendations: Removal of 1 major limb from original pollard head due to die-back in canopy and risk of potential failure. Removal of 2 lowest lateral limbs due to over-extension, raising the possibility of future failure. Minor crown thinning and removal of deadwood as required. Minor deadwood will be retained for habitat. Deadwood exceeding 50mm in diameter will be removed for safety, particularly over footpath. Tree is starting to show evidence of infection by phytothera, limb on southern aspect has bark necrosis, deadwood is present throughout the crown. Recommend removal of limb on southern aspect adjacent to previous cut stump, remove lowest lateral branches on north east south and west aspects to reduce lateral end loading on lower limbs. Crown thin removing crossing and dead branches throughout monitor annually for signs of decline.
