Trees T1–T9 (Predominantly Sycamore) – Rear Boundary Overhang The group of trees identified as T1 through T9 on the submitted site plan, primarily consisting of Sycamore, are currently overhanging the rear boundary. To address this, it is proposed to carry out a selective crown lift no higher than metres above ground level. This will involve the selective removal of low primary limbs and low hanging sub laterals to achieve a clear vertical clearance back to the boundary line. In addition to the crown lift, a further reduction in the upper crown by approximately 1-1.5 metres is proposed. This secondary reduction aims to lessen the overall dominance and extent of overhang. However, this additional work may be deemed unnecessary if the initial crown lift sufficiently mitigates the encroachment and improves light levels. Trees T10 & T11 – Light Penetration to Rear Garden Trees T10 and T11, as indicated on the submitted plan, are to be selectively crown reduced on the northwest-facing aspect. The reduction will be in the range of 1.5-2 metres, specifically targeted to enhance light penetration into the rear garden area. This work will be carried out in a manner that maintains the natural form and balance of the trees while achieving the desired improvement in light levels.
